About Us

The Higher Medical Public Committee-Aden (HMPCA) is a non-governmental and nonpartisan committee, which was established on March 28th (2015) by qualified health staff and technical personals who volunteer to assist the southern Yemeni people in overcoming this acute-on-chronic health crisis: a catastrophe amid histories of widespread poverty and underdeveloped health infrastructure. 

Mission

To support, facilitate and coordinate the delivery of assistance, by collaborating and working with aid agencies and all other stakeholders, in order ensure the effective and timely allocation of life-saving medicine and supplies to all active health facilities. Our ultimate goal is to mitigate the humanitarian consequences for civilians who have been trapped in this protracted conflict and isolated from the relief efforts of the aid agencies operating in Yemen. More importantly, to prevent the total collapse of the health care system as a result of the current heavy conflict in South of Yemen. 

Current Goals:

• To strengthen the trauma capacity across all active medical facilities and ensure the timely delivery of the needed essential medicine and supplies, especially for the treatment of gun shot wounds and burns (secondary to this conflict)
• To ensure that the wounded is treated regardless of their political affiliation or financial abilities 
• To set a standard for the quality of health services delivered  
• To ensure that non-urgent health services remain available, including but not limited to: pediatric care, OBGYN, infectious diseases, and mental health
