"It was nice to meet with you and the USAID group on Wednesday.
I want to give you the contact information of Dr. AbdulNasser Alwali (#967 73 379 1544) who is the head of the Higher Medical Public Committee in Aden (HMPCA), a health network which was established (3/28/2015) to maintain the support chain to all active health facilities in the southern governorates–Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Al Dhale’e, Hadramaut, Shabwah and Al Maharah. Therefore he would be the best person to contact on the ground for needs assessment, logistics or any other related issue pertaining to that region.

Now, for about a month now, I have been contacting him on a regular basis (via WhatsApp) and informing aid agencies of their health situation and desperate need of medicine and supplies. Recently, we decided to open a page on Facebook as a central site where all health related updates and information from HMPCA are posted: www.facebook.com/hmpcaden

Lastly, I contacted Dr. Alwali yesterday for a solution on to how possibly deliver aid to Aden with current level of conflict there. He proposed three viable options at this time:

1.) Shipments to Aden's Refinery Port in Al Buraiqeh district; currently it is under the control of the Southern Resistance

2.) Through the logistics of the Qatari and Kuwaiti Red Crescent–but not through the Red Cross (Dr. Alwali seems to be disappointed in their efforts to provide assistance to any of the health facilities in Aden).

3.) Directly to Hadramaut by sea to its ports or by ground, as it borders Saudi Arabia and Oman; HMPCA will be to take over its logistics from there.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me at anytime and thank you and your team for meeting with us to discuss these important matters.
